Our client has a unique opportunity for a Senior Pensions Actuary to join at Principal level. A Scheme Actuary Certificate is essential for the role as the position involves taking on a number of high-end Schemes. A desire to establish and develop new client relationships is also a key requirement of the role. Responsibilities:
- Lead client relationships
- Lead the provision of client advice, taking responsibility for allocation and completion of work and meeting deadlines
- Ensure the timely completion of the annual Scheme Actuary certificate renewal and maintain the professional associated requirements as set out by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
- Peer review actuarial advice where appropriate
- May have some significant team management responsibilities, including managing senior employees or large, complex teams
- Represent the firm on internal/external committees and attend networking events
- Identify and initiate new business development activities
- Lead and assist with new business pitches and develop opportunities with existing clients
- Establish and develop new client relationships and enhance current relationships
Skills and experience required:
- Qualified Actuary
- Scheme Actuary certificate
- IT skills to perform all aspects of work efficiently
- High level of professionalism skills
